GUINEA: 51TH ANNIVERSARY + 157 FUNERALS = TOTAL CONFUSION.

October 2th the Republic of Guinea celebrated his independence from France 51 years ago. From october 2, 1958 to october 2, 2009 no doubt it`s 51 years on the dot. 51 years with gold, diamond and half of the world reserve of bauxite the Republic of Guinea is still among the world indigent nations. 51 years of sovereignty the Republic of Guinea is still governed by military elites.
A celebration that comes in the dawn of 'september 28th slaughter' in the capital prime soccer stadium against a possible candidacy of the chief of the junta Dadis Camara, putting the death toll at 157 and more than 1000 wounded. A strenuous repression condenmed by the international commuty.
The family of the victims gathered this friday, 51th anniversary to bury their loved one while other are still searching for a relative.
In order to sue for peace Dadis Camara has called for a national unity government. A call the opposition learders has strictly rejected asking for an inquiry so that the officers who commited the massacre of september 28th can be brought to justice.
While guineans from all around the world are raise concern on social networks -facebook- myspace- twitter ect... the nation remains divided among Dadis Camara, the opposition and those who just seek peace. As the country getting ready for the january 30th elections would Dadis Camara give up on his political ambitions and give the power to the people in order to re-establish the constitutional order? Is another storm of demonstration brewing in the days ahead? What the guineans should do to dismantle a second military authority? {All comments are expected}
