HEALTH REFORM: A FAREWELL DEBAT.

The members of the House met today in a joint session to vote by plebiscite an intelligible Health Care Reform Bill. This Bill will insure 96% of Americans.
But to pass this legislation, Democrat needs 218 votes. If we are to believe there would not be a single hope for a bipartisan Bill because the Republicans members are determined to go against the Health Care Reform.
The issues on abortion and illegal immigrants were central of the discussion. Some key element that would shape the future of the American Health Care Reform.
Pres. Obama made a secret visit on the Hill to reinstate his determination and commitment but also to remind the House Democratic leadership the challenge they are facing. "This is their moment, this is our moment, to live up to the trust that the American people have placed in us," Pres. Obama quoted while the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gladly said that today not just history will be made make, but also progress for America's working families.

FORT HOOD FATAL RAMPAGE

On Thursday afternoon one the terrific attack ever to occur in a military base in US was launched by an army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan. The attack happened at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Texas, the largest military base in the world. Major Nidal Malik Hasan armed with a FN 5.7 millimeter pistol and a .357 Magnum intentionally opened fire on more than 40 people leaving 13 dead and 38, including himself wounded.

Everybody is asking why, how such cruelty. The gunman Major Nidal Malik Hasan is 39 year-old psychiatrist. He joined the army after high school graduation. In May he was promoted major but expressed his displeasure about being deployed in Afghanistan.

On Friday Pres. Obama delayed his trip to Capitol Hill to visit the Walter Reed Medical Center. “It’s difficult enough when we lose these brave Americans in battle overseas. It's horrifying that they should come under fire in an army base on US soil." he quoted.

The alleged gunman, Major Nidal Malik Hasan was shot 4 times but survived his wounds and remains in intensive care. The FBI and law enforcement are still working on the scene to figure out the motive behind this deadliest rampage.

UNEMPLOYMENT AT THE PEAK, FIRST SINCE 1983.

The unemployment rate strike the peak. The U.S Department of Labor has deciphered the nation's unemployment rate to 10.2%. This is the highest level ever seen since 1983.
Since the financial crisis 7.3 million people have lost their job. 190,000 Americans have lost their jobs in the month of October compare to 219,000 for the month of September. The largest losses are noticed in areas such as construction, manufacturing and retail. States like Michigan, Nevada, Tennessee, Oregon, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and California have an unemployment rate above 10%.

LOCAL ELECTION: GOP POLITICAL FATE REGENERATED

Tuesday November 3th was Election Day all across the country. The stake might not be high but one thing is clear the Republican Party had made an impressive come back.

Gov. John Corzine 17 million campaign spending and the President Barack Obama trip to New-Jersey to boost John Corzine re-election has fell into disrepair. Chris Christie, the Republican candidate has defeated the New Jersey Gov. John Corzine. The former US attorney from the state of New-Jersey Chris Christie won against Corzine, 49 to 45 percent. During his speech following his defeat, the governor of New Jersey John Corzine congratulated his opponent Chris Christie on his victory and reaffirmed his commitment to work with him.

Another Republican triumph in governor race was in Virginia. After 12 years of absence the Republican Party finally win the state highest seat. The State senator Creigh Deeds was unseated by the Republican Bob McDonnell. McDonnell beat Creigh Deeds 59 percent to 41 percent. Additional to the governor seat, the Republican won race for lieutenant governor and attorney general. McDonnell beat Creigh Deeds 59 percent to 41percent.

There will be a run off for mayor race between Kasim Reed and Mary Norwood in Atlanta and Annise Parker and Gene Locke in Houston.
In Denver, Colorado drivers rejected car impound initiative saying that it is against illegal immigrants. While in Maine the same-sex marriage law was throw out 53 percent by 47 percent.

In New-York Michael Bloomberg is elected for his third term as mayor. The independent Michael Bloomberg defeated the democrat Bill Thompson 51 to 46 percent. According to sources, the billionaire mayor has spent 100 million from his own pocket to pull out his re-election.

In upstate New-York the election for U.S House seat turn out for Bill Owens, the first democrat elected since 1800. Bill Owens defeated the Republican Doug Hoffman 49 to 46 percent.

Among all, New-Jersey and Virginia race was the most gravitational. For so long this local election has been called a referendum to President Obama because of the economy which was the voters’ main concern. The National Republican Senatorial Committee called the result a vote for “Reigning in government spending, restoring fiscal responsibility".
It is hard to believe but the key factor for this Republican political smack is the independent and the older voters. Yes! The Republican has had a big assist from the independent. The White House might downplay these results but the RNC chairman Michael Steele described the GOP victory in Virginia as the voters’ rejection of liberal taxes and spending policies.

But let us be clear we cannot execute the news with this outcome. Whether or not this election has changed the U.S political landscape, it is too early to call this result 'the dawn of the November 2010 election'. Despite the economy was the voters’ main concern, exit poll shows that Obama job performance was not a factor at all. In New-Jersey 57 percent of voters approved Pres. Obama job and 60 percent said that Pres. Obama job is a not a factor in this race. Though politic is about winning, it is too early to conclude when the man more popular than its policies can change the course of history.

SWINE FLU: FACT ABOUT THE H1N1 VIRUS

You might be questioning yourself why President Obama declared the H1N1 national emergency. To begin let me remind you that the swine flu pandemic started in April. Since then more than 20000 H1N1 case has been reported and more than 1000 patients have died in 46 state including 100 children.
In order for this administration to shorten the numbers it is an imperative to take the H1N1 pandemic to a high standard. Through the state of emergency the federal government has formulate procedure to reply to the pandemic by helping hospitals to deal with patient. This will enable doctor to come in from any states or different facilities to take care of a patient without any requirement.
Remember swine flu can turn to a fatal illness within the matter of hour.
Here are some symptoms of H1N1 list by the Center for Disease Control: cough, body ache, headache, fever, chills, fatigue, congestion, sore throat, and vomiting, stuffy nose. If you have any of these symptoms do not hesitate go check a doctor.
The Centers for Disease Control also prospected a list a category of group of people called 'high priority group': Pregnant woman, baby under 6 month, 24 years old, health care worker, 25-64 years old with health problems. According to the Center for Disease Control this group needs to get vaccinated as soon as possible
